AND GOALS A
Mission Statement for Knanaya Catholic Community in North America. “Knanaya
Catholic Community in North America likes to foster Catholic faith and Knanaya
traditions including endogamy among its members in North America.” A
Mission Statement for the priests serving as community leaders and mission
directors of Knanaya Catholic Community in North America. “The
priests of the Knanaya Catholic Community in North America are dedicated for
serving the members of the Syro-Malabar Catholic Diocese of Chicago with special
priority to the members of the Knanaya Catholic Community in fostering their
Catholic faith and Knanaya traditions including endogamy. They shall serve as
pastoral leaders of the people assigned to them and as community leaders for the
Knanaya people.” Long-term
goals of Knanaya Catholic Community. To
prepare the Knanaya Catholic Community for an autonomous ecclesiastical unit. Short-term
goals of our community. -
Establish
Knanaya Catholic Associations wherever possible. -
Bring Knanaya
Catholic priests from Kerala in every city where our people have migrated. -
Training of
Knanaya Seminarians from Kerala in US seminaries. -
Vocation
promotion. -
Establish maximum
number of Knanaya missions and parishes. -
Build up a
central level community structure with departments for communications, social
service, community awareness etc. -
Discourage
eligible Knanaya people joining other missions. -
Support and
cooperate with Bishop Angadiath and Syro-Malabar diocese of Chicago. -
Keep up good
relation with bishops of the Diocese of Kottayam. -
Offer enough
support and encouragement for Knanaya associations. -
Promotion of lay
